Today on this edition of HDTV home theater review is the Samsung HL-S5687w DLP HDTV.

Just a short review with only the information you need for this DLP HDTV:
What looked good on this DLP HDTV was ESPN sports.
Overly compressed sports looked worse on this TV.

Los Angeles ABC at 720p and it did not look that great.
HDNET Hockeyhad an amaizing picture on this TV

Standard Definition looked pretty good.
Good scaler on this HDTV
Standard DVDs will look good when connecting to the HDTV

The Specs:
  • 1080p (via Wobulation)
  • 10,000:1 Contrast Ratio
  • Faster, Bigger, Quieter color wheel
  • Dual HDMI inputs
  • Only 16.3 inches deep and 64 lbs
The Good:
  • Very Nice HD picture (for sports and movies)
  • Really good picture when viewing standard definition
  • No Rainbow effect.
  • 1080p
  • dual HDMI
The Bad:
  • Color not as vivid as SXRD but good enough
  • Detail lost in dark scenes not much, just some
  • No discrete access to inputs
